Relief Rounds is WebSite Relief’s self-hosted website-management hub, running at hub.websiterelief.com. It watches every site we manage, updates them safely, keeps their backups, sends each client a monthly report and gives clients their own portal. Each managed site connects to it through the Relief Rounds Connector. Relief Rounds runs only on the hub, so there’s no public test bench for it; WebTestCenter is one of the sites it manages.
What it does
- Monitoring: uptime, response time and SSL certificate checks around the clock, with email alerts on outages and recoveries.
- Safe remote updates: WordPress, plugin and theme updates from one dashboard. A full backup runs first; if it fails, the update is held back.
- Backups: nightly UpdraftPlus backups to off-site storage on every site, with the latest backup shown per site and restores started from the hub.
- Speed scores: each home page is tested weekly with Google PageSpeed, on phone and computer.
- Broken link checks: every site is scanned on the 1st of each month, with a list of broken links and the pages they’re on.
- Security: a Wordfence summary per site (attacks blocked, firewall, failed logins, malware scans) and alerts for new issues.
- Sites dashboard: status, uptime, response, certificate, speed, theme and page builder, WordPress version, pending updates and last backup for every site at a glance, with one-click admin login.
For clients
- Client portal: each client sees only their own sites: status, 30-day uptime, last backup, certificate, speed score, visitors, security and recent work.
- Monthly PDF reports: uptime, updates, backups, visitors (Google Analytics through Site Kit), speed, security and broken links, plus a log of the work done that month.
- Request a change: clients send change requests from the portal, with an optional picture or PDF. Finished requests are logged as work and show up in the portal and the monthly report.
Requirements
WordPress 6.2+ and PHP 7.4+ on the hub site (runs on PHP 8.5). Managed sites need the Relief Rounds Connector; UpdraftPlus, Site Kit and Wordfence on those sites add backups, visitor numbers and the security summary.
